Porlock Country Fair
Porlock's annual summer Country Fair, is held on the beautiful Recreation Ground at the heart of the village. A fabulous day out for the whole family, includes attractions such as main arena shows, live music, a fun dog show, children's races, stilt-walkers, a traditional Punch & Judy show, many local crafts, vendors and a great selection of food stalls, along with cream teas, hog roast, licensed bar and Pimms tent with a free car park. Join local walk leaders on a guided walk to Bat's Castle, Dunster. Starting from The National Park Centre in Dunster, you will be guided through hidden parts of the historical village and into some wonderful scenery and landscape on the outskirts of Dunster. You will learn about the rich history of the area and come across some breathtaking views. Please note this is approximately a 4 mile walk with some steep inclines in places, suitable footwear is essential and bringing a bottle of water is recommended. Booking essential - call 01643 821835

To celebrate 150 years since R.D. Blackmore's novel was published, book a place on a special 'Lorna Doone' Landrover safari. Pass through the beautiful Doone country, and visit St Mary's Church in Oare, Badgworthy Water and Robber's Bridge. Sit back and enjoy the fascinating commentary which brings the book to life.
