Our ambition as hoteliers is to ensure that guests and visitors to The Porlock Weir Hotel leave feeling rejuvenated and relaxed having enjoyed some relaxed downtime - Whether this is adrenaline fuelled outdoors activities, exercising, exploring or just sitting peacefully taking in the scenery, we hope you will leave feeling uplifted and energised from your visit.

We strongly believe in the four pillars to health and wellness being; sleeping well, eating well, moving and relaxing and you don’t have to move far to enjoy this as our garden is a great location for tai chi and yoga.

Our unique location and proximity to areas of  specific scientific interest and exceptional natural beauty heightens our awareness of our impact as humans on this fragile environment we inhabit. Not only do we need to be good to ourselves and others around us but also to our environment. Porlock Weir and the hotel itself aims to reduce single use plastics and we are actively reducing our energy consumption and waste.   

We also encourage guests, locals and staff alike to take part in a daily two minute beach clean whenever they can. Every little helps and a short walk along the pebble beach is good for the environment but also inner balance and clearing the mind.

Lovely hotel with wonderful views over Porlock Weir, food was great and staff lovely, friendly and dog fans too. From the moment we walked in we knew we had made the right choice - such a warm, friendly welcome.
