Access Statement
The Porlock Weir Hotel welcomes people with disabilities, and this statement has been developed to address the more common issues that disabled people face.
We constantly strive to improve accessibility to all our guests and welcome your comments and thoughts.
We endeavour to treat all our guests with any disability or impairment equally according to their needs, within the restraints of this historical building.
You may arrive and unload in front of the hotel, where there is limited parking available. Please be advised that check in is from 3pm, there is a large pay and display carpark opposite the hotel. Please ask for a ticket to be placed in your windscreen which will allow you to park for free suring your stay.
Guest entry to the hotel is through the front entrance there are two steps up to the door and an inner door that would need to be opened for a wheelchair. We recommend that anyone with a wheelchair uses the side entrance as this is flat. You can access the lounge, toilets and dining rooms from here.
There is a ramp at the front of the hotel for wheelchair users which we keep behing the bench on the left hand side of the front door. Please ask a member of staff for assistance.
There is no lift in the building. We request that at the time of your enquiry or booking you inform us of any special needs or disabilities. We have no ground floor bedrooms and there are steps to access all bedrooms.
All bedrooms, stairways and passageways are carpeted.
The entire hotel is non-smoking.
Guide dogs are welcome.
Smoke detectors, alarms and emergency lighting are on all floors.
